Asian Republicans chapter the next step in Travis GOP's outreach efforts
AUSTIN, Texas -- Following the dedication of a statue dedicated to the equality of all Texans, the Travis GOP will welcome its newest auxiliary dedicated to making sure everyone is properly represented.
The Texas Asian Republican Assembly Austin Chapter will officially organize 11:30 a.m. Saturday at La Madeleine, 9828 Great Hills Trail, in Austin.
Scheduled earlier that morning is the unveiling of the Texas African American History Memorial, which the Travis GOP is celebrating.
The Austin chapter will be the newest affiliate of the Texas Asian Republican Assembly (TARA), an officially recognized auxiliary of the Republican Party of Texas since 2013.
One of the primary goals of TARA is to identify, educate, promote, and support qualified Republican Asian Americans candidates running for political office.
